As Burghill Parish Council, much of what we do is attending to the minor things that can make a difference to the people in our parish and environment. We tackle issues such as speeding, pollution, pavements, potholes, footpaths and the like. We are also consulted on all planning applications within the parish. The Parish Council meets monthly and currently there are two vacancies.
If you are interested in becoming a parish councillor and want to play a part in our changing community, please contact our parish clerk, Paulette Scholes, on 07801 958673 or email burghillpc@btinternet.com.
The position is unpaid and voluntary, but some expenses such as training are paid for by the Parish Council.
Footpaths.
This concerns the footpath that starts right by the little roadside chapel on the 4110 and runs North towards Wellington.
2 points:
-many thanks for keeping the path open through the woods. It makes a good walk, once you brave the traffic.
-towards the bottom a large willow has fallen and blocks the path.
Nigel Cooper.
Dear Nigel
Thank you for your comments especially regarding the improved accessibility of the path through the woods.
I have passed on your comment regarding the fallen large willow to our parish clerk for action.
Regards
Sally Robertson
